Keanu Pinder, a 6’9 forward at Hutchinson CC in the 2016 JC class, announced today that he has de-committed from Nebraska and has opened up his recruitment. Don’t expect Pinder to keep his recruitment open for long, as it looks like he will follow fellow Australian Chris Harriman to New Mexico. Harriman was an assistant at Nebraska and was recently hired as the Associate Head Coach at New Mexico.

Harriman was instrumental in getting Pinder to commit to the Huskers when he was in prep school at Sunrise Christian Academy. Pinder didn’t qualify academically and enrolled at Hutchinson CC where he played last season. He will finish up his sophomore year at Hutch in the 2015-16 season and then have two years to play. Harriman played basketball in Australia with Pinder’s dad and has known him for many years. Look for Pinder to commit to New Mexico in the near future.
