Kahu Treacher | Eastern Arizona

There has been an uptick in recruiting activity at the JUCO level, which is common this time of year. Below is a look at the latest commitments and other recent recruiting news.

There was significant movement over the last few days at Eastern Arizona. Kahu Treacher de-committed from Oregon State following the announcement that head coach Wayne Trinkle will not return next season. Treacher, a 6'9 forward, plays with a relentless motor and has the skill set to score both inside and out.

While Treacher reopened his recruitment, another Eastern Arizona big man finalized his decision. Ryan Hunt, a 7'0 forward, announced his commitment to TCU. Hunt has performed at a high level all season and has dominated the glass, including a recent 29-rebound performance. He is currently averaging 14.9 points and 12.1 rebounds per game while shooting 58 percent from the field.

TCU has been actively recruiting the JUCO level in recent cycles and has seen significant success. The Horned Frogs already hold a commitment from the nation’s No. 1 prospect, Trent Lincoln out of Gulf Coast State, and have now added the No. 13 prospect in Ryan Hunt.

Last year, TCU secured the nation’s top JUCO prospect in the 2025 class, 6'9 forward Xavier Edmonds from Salt Lake CC. Edmonds has made an immediate impact in Fort Worth, averaging 12.6 points and 6.6 rebounds per game while shooting 57 percent from the field and 41 percent from three-point range.

Northwest Florida State guard Damarion Vann-Kelly has made his decision on where he will continue his career at the four-year level, committing to Pacific. The California native is averaging 11.4 points and 2.2 rebounds per game while shooting 44 percent from the field and 37 percent from three-point range this season.
