This past weekend was the opening weekend of Junior College basketball and I was able to attend the Mike Mitchell's Elite 8 at the University of Central Oklahoma which featured 8 teams including several Top 25 teams. Here were some of the standouts from the event.

6'9 F Ty McMillian, Kilgore - The Rs Fr knocked down midrange shots, rebounded well and showed his athleticism around the rim catching lobs and finishing. McMillian is one of better prospects in country with 3 years to play. Kansas, Texas A&M, Minnesota and Oklahoma State were all in to see him play.

6'2 PG Junior Farquhar, South Plains - The Middle Tennessee State transfer ran the show and was great getting to the rim. The PG has great size and athleticism.

6'1 CG CJ Roberts, Ranger - Roberts is probably the best guard in the country at attacking the basket. He is fearless, strong and super quick with the ball in his hands.

6'5 F Jalen Townsell & 6'3 G Pharoh Allah, AZ Western - Townsell is qualifier with 3 years to play and one of the best shooters in the country. He plays the PF position and knocked down shots from all over. Allah scored in a variety of ways and has a smooth game attacking the basket.
