Fr Qualifiers Coaches Should Know - Part 1

NCAA Coaches are recruiting Junior College Players more and more each year looking for players that are mature and that can be productive as soon as they step on campus. Freshman Qualifiers are attractive prospects for coaches because they have 3 years to play and have played a year of Junior College against better competition than HS. Below are several Freshman Qualifiers that are excelling so far this season.

2020 Qualifiers To Watch

6’9 F RJ Duhart of Northwest Miss CC is averaging 12.2 ppg and 8.4 rpg. Duhart is great rebounder and can step out to play on the perimeter

5’10 CG JoVon McClanahan of Sheridan College is averaging 23.9 ppg while shooting 47% from 3. McClanahan is in constant attack mode putting pressure on the defense and shoots 10 FT’s a game

6’6 F Jermaine Marshall of FL Southwestern is averaging 8.4 ppg and 8.5 rpg for the #2 team in the country. Marshall plays with motor and is versatile defender

6’6 F Jakorie Smith of East Miss CC is averaging 16.8 ppg and 8.3 rpg. Smith is versatile player that can score inside and out

6’1 G Angelo Stuart of Mineral Area CC is averaging 16.5 ppg, 2.5 rpg and 2.1 apg for a 20-1 team. The crafty guard scores it all levels

6’1 G Tanahj Pettway of Indian River State is averaging 14.1 ppg, 2.9 rpg and 2.9 apg while shooting 49% from 3. Pettway is quick, tough guard with great feel and shooting ability
