Fr Qualifiers Coaches Should Know - Part 2

NCAA Coaches are recruiting Junior College Players more and more each year looking for players that are mature and that can be productive as soon as they step on campus. Freshman Qualifiers are attractive prospects for coaches because they have 3 years to play and have played a year of Junior College against better competition than HS. Below are several Freshman Qualifiers that are excelling so far this season – PART 2

 

2020 Qualifiers To Watch

7’1 F/C Osborn Shema of New Mexico Military is averaging 11.1 ppg, 8.4 rpg and 2.9 bpg while also making one 3 per game. Shema has great length and can knock down face up jumpers

6’5 G Kareem Thompson of East Central CC is averaging 18.4 ppg, 4.9 rpg and 3.3 apg. Thompson is do-it-all guard with great feel

6’6 F Clarence Jackson of Polk State is averaging 14 ppg ad 8.4 rpg while also shooting 40% from 3. Jackson has a great motor and is also a great passer

6’5 SG Bryce Waterman of Pensacola State is averaging 12.3 ppg and shooting 46% from 3 (8.1 attempts per game). Waterman is a sharpshooter from deep and has made 74 3’s already this year

6’3 G Kobey Lam of Williston State is averaging 19.2 ppg and 3.3 rpg while shooting 43% from 3. Lam has quick release and can score at all 3 levels

6’0 G Dakari Johnson of Cape Fear CC is averaging 22 ppg, 4.7 rpg and 3.2 apg while shooting 39% from 3. Johnson is quick guard that can light it up from deep

Barton CC has a pair of Qualifier guards doing well. 6’0 G Jaheim Holden is averaging 15.6 ppg and 6’4 G Justin Harmon is averaging 13.5 ppg & 5.4 rpg

6’5 Wing Cedric Garrett of Murray State is averaging 8.4 ppg and 4.9 rpg this season. He has helped his team get to a 15-3 record so far

6’3 G Tucson Redding of Howard College is averaging 13.3 ppg, 3.7 apg and 2.8 rpg. Redding is crafty combo guard that score
