JUCO Products To Watch in Second Year in NCAA - Part 1

Not every Junior College is able to produce right away at the NCAA level, there is a steep learning curve for all Junior College Players. Some players can figure it out faster than others. Here is a look at some JUCO products that are going into their second year at NCAA level that should continue to excel for their programs

6’3 PG Javion Hamlet of North Texas – Hamlet had probably the best season of all JUCO products (Northwest Florida) in 19-20. Hamlet averaged 14.6 ppg, 4.8 apg and 3 rpg while shooting 42% from 3. He was named C-USA POY in 19-20. He has been named preseason 1st Team All-Conference for 20-21 season and will have the chance to repeat as Conference POY

6’8 PF Gaige Prim of Missouri State – Prim was a presence in the paint all year for the Bears. The former South Plains Texan was 3rd Team All-Conference in 19-20. He averaged 13.7 ppg and 4.9 rpg in 21.7 mins/game. He is preseason 2nd team All-Conference in Missouri Valley and expected to carry the load inside for the Bears

6’6 G Chris Duarte of Oregon – The NJCAA POY in 18-19 had a lot of expectations going into Oregon and the Former Northwest Florida State Raider delivered. He was named All PAC-12 Honorable Mention & PAC-12 All Defensive Honorable Mention last season. He averaged 12.9 ppg and 5.6 rpg in 19-20. He was named preseason 1st Team All PAC-12 for the upcoming season

6’6 G Brandon Rachal of Tulsa – The Pearl River CC Alum was consistent and productive from Day 1 for Tulsa. Last season he averaged 12.1 ppg and 5.8 rpg while scoring in double figures 20 times. He has been named preseason 1st Team All-Conference in the American for 20-21
