Not every Junior College is able to produce right away at the NCAA level, there is a steep learning curve for all Junior College Players. Some players can figure it out faster than others. Here is a look at some JUCO guys that are going into their second year at NCAA level that should continue to excel for their programs

6’2 G Alonzo Verge of Arizona State – Verge can flat out score (30.9 ppg as a JUCO Soph) and there is no sign of him slowing down. The JUCO Product from Moberly Area CC averaged 14.6 ppg, 3.5 rpg and 2.3 apg last season including a 43 point game and several games with 20 plus points. Expect more of the same from Verge this upcoming season

6’1 G Keith Clemons of Loyola Chicago – The JUCO product from Vincennes University didn’t play the first 8 games of the season last year due to injury but made an immediate impact on both sides of the ball once he was healthy. Last season, he averaged 10.4 ppg and shot 46% from 3

6’10 F Ruot Monyyong of Arkansas Little Rock – Monyyong (Shelton State) filled up the stat sheets for Arkansas Little Rock and was a defensive presence from Day 1. He was Defensive POY, Newcomer of Year and 1st Team All-Conference in Sun Belt last season. He averaged 11.9 ppg and 9.8 rpg while also averaging 2 bpg
