Former JUCO Player, Chris Duarte, Selected in NBA Draft

Chris Duarte, a 6'6 guard from the University of Oregon/Northwest Florida State College, has been selected by the Indiana Pacers with the 13th pick in the first round of the 2021 NBA Draft. 

 

Before heading to Oregon, Duarte had an impressive career at NW Florida State.  Duarte was the 2019 NJCAA National Player of the Year and was ranked as the #1 prospect in our 2019 JucoRecruiting.com Top 100 Rankings. He was also named an NJCAA First-Team All-American and MVP of the NJCAA All-Star Game.
 

While at NW Florida State, Duarte averaged 19.4 PPG and 7.4 RPG. He was also a standout performer at the All-American JUCO Showcase Invitational in the summer before his sophomore year at NW Florida. Duarte was coached by Steve Demeo at NW Florida State.

 

Duarte went on to have an illustrious career at the University of Oregon for two seasons. Below are some of Duarte's accomplishments at the University of Oregon (Source: GoDucks.com):
