Several JUCO prospects in the 2023 class announced their commitments over the last month.

Arizona Western 6'9 forward, Yaxel Lendeborg announced his commitment to St. John's. Lendeborg averaged 12 PPG and 11 RPG, shot 63% from the field last season at Arizona Western and was named Conference Player of the Year. Lendeborg held offers from Xavier, Cincinnati, Houston, New Mexico, Texas State, San Diego, VCU, Memphis, Old Dominion, and many others.

Dontae Horne, a 6'4 guard from Howard College (TX), burst onto the scene after an excellent 21-22 season at Eastern Oklahoma St and a strong performance at the All-American JUCO Showcase Invitational in July. Horne averaged 15 PPG, 5.5 APG, and 5 RPG last year at Eastern Oklahoma before transferring to Howard College for his final year of junior college. He recently narrowed his list two seven schools prior to choosing Texas State.  He chose the Bobcats over St. Louis, North Texas, Towson, Drake, and Corpus Christi.

Texas State also picked up a commitment from 6'4 South Plains guard Elijah Tate.  Tate transferred to South Plains after spending the 2021-22 season at UAB.

Johan Nziemi, a 6'6/225 pound forward out of Independence CC, committed to Longwood recently. He averaged 11.7 PPG and 7.5 RPG last season at Independence.

Another Howard College player made a commitment in early October. Lerenzo Trey Fort, a 6'4 guard out of Jackson, MS, committed to Mississippi State. Fort transferred to Howard from Co-Lin CC where he averaged 26 PPG  and 4.3 RPG last season.

South Plains had two other players commit recently. Jaden Harris, a 6'4 guard, committed to ETSU and Christian Coleman, a 6'9 versatile forward committed to UAB.  Coleman is one of the most intriguing prospects in JUCO basketball with elite athleticism and size.

Two players from Bishop State came off the board. Forter Prater committed to Alabama A&M  and Demajion Topps committed to Morgan State.

IUPUI reeled in a commitment from Wallace State big man, James Flippin. Flippin averaged 16 PPG and 6 RPG last season at Chattanooga State.

Panola College wing Chrishawn Christmas committed to Stephen F Austin. Christmas is a "high motor" freshman qualifier who was impressive during the fall evaluation period.

SIU-Edwardsville picked up a commitment from 6'4 NW Kansas Tech guard Ethan Yancy. Yancy averaged 16 PPG last season at NW Kansas Tech and had a wide variety of schools recruiting him.
