After 3 convincing wins over the span of 5 days, the John A Logan Volunteers are the JucoRecruiting.com Team of The Week for Nov 27- Dec 4th.  First-year Head Coach Tyler Smithpeters has the Vols on a six-game win streak after knocking off #9 Moberly at home on Sunday night by a score of 71-56.  

JAL held Moberly to 56 points on 37 % from the field, nearly 25 points below their season average of 80.6 ppg.  James Dent led the Vols in scoring with 14 points against the Greyhounds while leading scorer Curt Lewis (EKU Transfer) had 11.  Logan held a comfortable lead for most of the top-ranked matchup at home, leading by 21 at half of the Missouri/Illinois Shootout contest.  

Earlier in the week Logan defeated Kaskaskia at home 86-74, with 6’7 Sophomore Elijah Jones tallying 24 points to lead the way.  Isaiah Stafford, who is 2nd on the team in scoring, finished with 16 points.  

The Vols will have 4 straight home games to finish out the fall semester slate of games before the holiday break.  They are 2-0 in league play after having defeated Wabash Valley and Kaskaskia.  Logan will face Vincennes and Three Rivers in that span which will be a big week for any potentially at-large implications at the end of the year.
