Won vs #11 Daytona St 86-82

After a home win over previously unbeaten #11 Daytona St, Coastal Alabama-North (Monroeville) is the JucoRecruiting.com Team of the Week for Dec 11-18.  Coach Chuck Taylor has his group playing great basketball heading into the break, winners of five straight.  

The Eagles made the most of their last opportunity before Christmas by beating #11 Daytona St on Saturday, December 17th.  Freshman guard Seth Jones finished with 20 points in the win for CA-N, who were playing without starting point guard Mikey West (12ppg) who has missed time recently with a sprained ankle.  Coastal held Daytona to 21% 3PT Shooting on the night, well below their season average.  On the other side of the court, the Eagles were 10-20 from 3 and shot a blistering 59% from the field to pull off the upset.  

Coastal Alabama-North will take a short break for the holidays, and then head to Melbourne, FL to take on Eastern Florida & Pensacola in a post-Christmas classic before returning to conference play.
