Jordan Washington, a 6’8 forward out of Indian Hills CC, committed to Arizona State while on an official visit. Washington becomes the second commitment in the 2015 JC class along with Andre Spight, a 6’3 guard out of South Plains College. Arizona State assistant Barrett Peery was instrumental in recruiting Washington and had strong ties due to coaching him las season at Indian Hills. Peery was the head coach at Indian Hills last season and recruited Washington there out of high school. This was Washington’s only scheduled official visit.

Washington averaged 9.8 points and 5.7 rebounds per game last season as a freshman at Indian Hills while shooting 58.7% from the field. He is extremely physical and knows how to use his body in the low post. He is a workhorse in the paint and loves to mix it up. Washington is very good on the glass and will have no trouble adjusting to the physicality at the D1 level.  He has good hands and can also score with his back to the basket, Washington is an enforcer in the paint on both ends and should have a very good season this year on an extremely deep and talented Indian Hills team.
