Legend Robertin, a 7’0 center at Chipola College, is an athletic big man who has only been playing basketball for three years prior to arriving in Marianna, FL. He was expected to make a decision in April after the season, but that changed quickly today when Robertin gave a verbal commitment to Clemson. This is an important addition for the Tigers. They are getting one of the top JUCO post players in the 2015 class and showing their ability to land high level JUCO prospects.

Robertin, whose parents are from St. Lucia, was born in England and ran track until he was 16 years old and started playing basketball after that according to a friend of the family. He will have three years of eligibility after playing this season at Chipola, which is another reason that he was such a hot commodity on the recruiting trail.

Robertin picked Clemson over Memphis, Tennessee, Florida State, Texas Tech, Ole Miss, Alabama, South Carolina, Arkansas, West Virginia and others. Newly hired Clemson assistant Richie Riley was instrumental in recruiting Robertin.
