Mike Rodriguez has been putting up big numbers at Marshalltown CC since he arrived on campus as a freshman last season. The quick and shifty point guard has a very good burst of speed and is at his best when he's in the open court. Rodriguez is only 5'10 and weighs about 170 pounds so he may have issues defensively at the next level due to lack of size, but he makes up for that lack of size with toughness.

Colorado State and Manhattan have both recently offered Rodriguez, who also has plenty of other low and mid major offers. With a serious lack of depth at the point guard position in the 2015 high school class many high major programs are searching the junior college level. There isn't a ton of depth at the junior college level at the point guard position either, but there are a handful of prospects left.

West Virginia seems to be searching for a JUCO point guard in the 15 class and has reached out to Rodriguez recently. WVU head coach Bob Huggins plans on watching Rodriguez and Marshalltown on Wednesday against Kirkwood CC.

Rodriguez is averaging 23.3 points, 6.7 assists and 4.4 rebounds per game this season.
