Cleanthony Early (6-8/220/SF/Sullivan CC) has seen his stock rise quickly after a great summer and has lined up four out of his five official visits. Early told me by phone that he has taken an unofficial visit to Iona recently and will take official visits in the near future to Wichita State, Washington St., San Diego St. and Iowa State. Early said he will wait to decide on where to go for his final official visit, but it will be between Marquette, Pitt and Alabama. He has also picked up recent interest from Missouri, Arkansas and Hofstra. Early said he doesn’t have a leader yet and will take a hard look at all of the schools who are pursuing him.

In other JUCO news, Wichita State landed a late commitment from James Anacreon, a 6-7 forward out of Lake Land College (IL).  Anacreon gave Iona a verbal commitment in April, but had to attend summer school in order to graduate from junior college and become D1 eligible. While taking summer classes he opened his recruitment back up. Anacreon took a visit to Utah last week, but quickly committed to Wichita State two days after the visit. He is not with the Shockers on their trip to Brazil and will join the team when they return.

Jonathan Miller (6-2/180/SG/State College of Florida – Manatee) is another 2011 junior college prospect who had to wait until early August to become D1 eligible. Miller recently graduated from State College of Florida and committed to Eastern Illinois yesterday.
