Here is a look at the latest junior college recruiting news:

Orlando Sanchez (6-8/F/2012) is visiting St. John’s this weekend and will then decide this week between SJU, Providence and Auburn. Sanchez is one of the best JUCO players left on the board and would be an excellent addition for any of those programs.

IPFW landed Kevin Harden, a 6-2 combo guard of Santa Fe CC in Florida. Harden is a strong/physical guard who handles the ball well and has the ability to score in bunches. Harden had a handful of high-major looks, but felt like IPFW would be the best fit for him. Luis Jacobo of College of Central Florida and Steve Forbes of Brevard College are two more JUCO transfers out of Florida who have already signed their NLI’s.

Citrus College (CA) has several prospects who are looking  to make a decision soon. Brandon Parga (6-5/2012), who is one of the best shooters in the JC ranks, is on a visit to Iona this weekend and may commit on his visit. James Walker (6-3/2012) of Citrus visited St. Mary’s (CA) early last week and combo guard Kerry Carter picked up an offer from Albany last week. Carter, who was a qualifier out of high school, will visit Albany this week. He will have three years of eligibility if he decides to leave Citrus this year.

Rod Rucker (6-6/NW FL State) is visiting UAB this weekend and will decide between UAB, Western Kentucky and Louisiana Lafayette. Rucker is a double-double waiting to happen. He can defend multiple positions and has an excellent understanding of the game. Any of these programs will be lucky to have him for two years.

Jerrold Brooks (6-0/PG/2012) is on a visit to Colorado State this weekend. Brooks is a strong 205-pound guard who was an NJCAA D1 Second-Team All-American selection.

Deninson Burguillos (6’9/Casper College/2012) committed to Georgia State.

Tyler Larson (6-3/2012) of Casper College signed with South Dakota

Brendan Cooper (6-6/SF/2012) of Lakeland CC (OH) is visiting St. Bonaventure this weekend. Cooper was an NJCAA D2 First Team All-American Selection.

D.D. Scarver of Trinity Valley CC is taking an official visit to Marshall this weekend. Scarver opened recruitment when Eustachy left Southern Miss for Colorado State.

Paul Egwuonwu (6-9/2012) of College of Southern Idaho signed with Montana State.

Ryan Okwudibonye (6’8’’/2012) from New Mexico JC signed with Sacramento State.

Brandon Morris (2012) of Kansas City Kansas CC signed with Houston.
