Marquel Curtis, a 6-4/195 pound guard at Williston State (ND), is one of the best unsigned perimeter players at the junior college level. He has a wide variety of interest from schools throughout the country.

Curtis has had an excellent two years for Williston State head coach Eric Peterson. He is currently averaging 20.4 points, 5.6 rebounds and  3 assists per game.  Curtis is shooting 51% from the floor, 37% from the 3pt line, and 65% from the FT line. He is very good at using his strong frame and getting the ball to the basket and the free throw line. He gets to the line nearly 8 times per game. He also uses screens very well and can catch and shoot quickly when coming off of a screen away from the ball. As a freshman he was named to the NJCAA 2nd Team All-American team (NJCAA D1) and was 2nd in the country in scoring at 22.4 points per game. Curtis broke the single season scoring record at Williston last year with 715 points and was also named conference MVP.

Williston State is 23-8 heading into postseason play.
