Trent Gilbert, a 5’10 guard who was a preferred walk-on at Louisville, will transfer to Gulf Coast St. and play there next season. Gilbert left the team last month and was looking at multiple JC options before deciding on Gulf Coast St.

Gilbert averaged 26 points per game at Scott County HS and was a finalist for Kentucky’s Mr. Basketball. He had several D1 offers out of high school, but chose to take a walk-on spot with Louisville instead.
