Chris Boucher is one of the most skilled players for his size in recent memory at the JC level. He is a 6’10 four man who can stretch the floor with his ability to shoot the ball from the three-point line and handle the ball on the perimeter. Boucher, a Canadian prospect who played at New Mexico JC last year, had some big performances at the NJCAA D1 National Tournament in Hutchinson, KS.

Boucher averaged 22.5 points and 11.5 rebounds this season while shooting over 50% from the field and nearly 44% from the three-point line. In Hutchinson, Boucher had a triple double in a win over Cape Fear CC (29 points, 16 rebounds and 11 blocks) and followed that up with a 24-point/11-rebound performance in a 94-92 loss to eventual champ, NW Florida State.

Boucher is one of the best shot blockers in the country and averaged 4.7 blocks per game on the year. He is very thin and needs to add size/strength to handle the D1 level, but has a unique skill set to go along with his size and length.

Boucher is taking an official visit to TCU this weekend. This would be a huge get for TCU as Boucher is an immediate impact player at the next level. There is a connection at TCU. Former New Mexico JC head coach, Chris Tift, is now an assistant at TCU and he helped recruit Boucher to NMJC before departing for TCU. Boucher doesn’t have any other visits set up yet.

Here is a look at Boucher’s current offer list: Oregon, TCU, West Virginia, Texas Tech, Arizona State, Washington State, Oregon, Baylor, Minnesota, Creighton, Wichita State, Seton Hall, Eastern Michigan, Wagner and Iona.
