Ray Kasongo, a 6’10 center from the College of Southern Idaho, is currently on an official visit to Mississippi State. State’s new head coach, Ben Howland, and his staff have done an excellent job of identifying and recruiting Kasongo in a short period of time. It looks as if they’re in the lead for Kasongo’s services, but the big man does have several other options if he doesn’t commit on his visit.
According to several sources, Kansogo will visit Ole Miss, Tennessee and LSU if he doesn’t commit to Mississippi State. Kasongo averaged 7 points and 5 rebounds this season at the College of Southern Idaho and will have three years to play at the next level. He progressed nicely this season at CSI and should pan out to be a productive low post player at the high-major level.
