Justin Leon, a 6’8 forward out of Shawnee CC, has narrowed his list down to five schools. Leon is the top available prospect in the 2015 JUCO class behind Brandon Austin of NW Florida St.  He committed to and signed with Louisiana Tech, but asked for and received his release after a coaching change. Former Louisiana Tech head coach, Mike White, took the Florida job, which opened up when Billy Donovan headed to the Thunder.

Leon, a Conway, AR native, is an active and skilled forward who has the ability to face up in the mid and high post and attack off the dribble. He also hits the glass well on both ends and can score the ball around the rim in the low post. Leon handles the ball well for his size and also has the ability to stretch the floor and attack off the dribble in transition. He averaged 15.3 points and 6.3 rebounds while shooting 56% from the field.

Leon announced via Twitter that he is considering Florida, Indiana, Arkansas, Louisiana Tech and Kansas St (in no order). Leon obviously has a solid relationship with the new Florida staff because they recruited him and signed him at Louisiana Tech.  Leon also said that he would not take any official visits until mid June.
