The November signing period is rapidly approaching and a handful of 2016 JUCO prospects are taking official visits this weekend. Division 1 programs are trying to lock down their priority recruits and many schools are looking to get verbal commitments from players this weekend with the singing period looming.

Key Visits This Weekend

Baylor has had plenty of success with JC transfers in the Scott Drew era, and they are still recruiting the JC level heavily. The Bears will have Indian Hills CC sophomore (2016) forward, Nuni Omot, on campus this weekend. Omot is a skilled/mobile 6’9 small forward who transferred to Indian Hills from Concordia St. Paul. He averaged 12 points and 5 rebounds as a freshman at Concordia St. Paul before transferring out to Indiana Hills. Omot is considering Colorado State, Baylor, Cincinnati, Virginia Tech, and Gonzaga.

Lee College guard Brenden Jenkins is taking an official visit to LSU this weekend. Jenkins played very well in the All-American Jamboree in Panama City, FL in early October and is explosive on both ends. He is extremely difficult to keep out of the paint when attacking off the dribble and is a big-time athlete who can finish through contact around the rim. Jenkins is also one of the better on-ball defenders in the 2016 class. He has already taken an official visit to Oklahoma State.

Crisshawn Clark, a 6’4 guard at Canada College in California, is currently on an official visit to Oregon. The high-scoring guard has already visited Pitt and Loyola-Chicago. He is excepted to make a decision after finishing up his visit to Oregon.

Devocio Butler, a 6’5 wing at Hill College in Texas, is taking an official visit Colorado State this weekend. Butler helped guide Hill to an NJCAA National Tournament appearance last season while averaging 10 points and 4 rebounds per game.
