Arlando Cook, a 6’8 forward out of Connors State (OK), committed to Arkansas after de-committing form Nevada last week.  He was one of the more heavily recruited prospects in the 2016 class and was considering Arkansas and Iowa State after reopening his recruitment.

Cook is one of the top forwards in the 2016 JC class and had interest or offers, at some point, from LSU, Kansas State, Arkansas, Memphis, West Virginia, Ole Miss, Missouri and many others.

Cook is one of the more skilled forwards in the 2016 JC class and has good hands and a more developed low post game than most JC forwards. He is a good athlete who can step out and attack off the dribble from the high post or the perimeter. Cook should be a good fit with Arkansas' uptempo style of play. Cook averaged 11.4 points and 9.5 rebounds per game last season as a JC freshman.

Arkansas has put together an extremely impressive JC recruiting class in 2016. They already have verbal commitments from Holmes CC guard Daryl Macon and Motlow State guard Jaylen Barford. Macon, Barford and Cook are all top 25 players in the 2016 JC class. Their exact spots have not been finalized in our 2016 JC Top 100, as we are still evaluating D1 transfers and other 2016 JC prospects as the season gets underway.
