Luis Montero, who was signed by the Portland Trail Blazers, scored his first NBA basket by knocking down a three-pointer against Memphis, which can be seen below.
Montero went straight from junior college to the NBA after playing his freshman season at Westchester CC and sitting last season at South Plains College. Montero left Westchester after his freshman season when the head coach was accused of and later charged with academic fraud/altering transcripts. He then sat out the second half of the season at South Plains College, before latching on with the Trail Blazers' summer league team. After having a productive summer, the Blazers offered him a contract.
