Starting on September 9th, college coaches were allowed get on the road to visit potential recruits.  It was a busy week for junior college programs across the country. Here’s a look at many of the four-year schools that were on the JC trail over the weekend.

  • Louisiana Monroe, Oral Roberts, Lamar, Loyola Marymount, Houston, Incarnate Word, Texas State, Northern Arizona, Sam Houston State, Stephen F Austin, Southern, UT – Arlington, Utah Valley, Arkansas Little, and UT – Rio Grande Valley all stopped by Jacksonville College (TX) to see 6’9 F Jabari Narcis and 6’7 F Brandon Battle
  • Middle Tennessee State, Morehead State, Missouri State, East Tennessee State, Tennessee State, Buffalo, Iona, North Texas, Illinois State, Charleston Southern, UMass, Arkansas Little Rock, Northern Arizona and UT Martin all stopped by Motlow State to see multiple prospects
  • UT – Rio Grande Valley, Missouri State, BYU and Pacific stopped by to see Casper College.  Wichita State stopped by to see 6’10 Antun Maricevic.  Washington State stopped by to see 7’0 C Octavion Corley
  • Grand Canyon, Portland State, Stephen F Austin, Pacific and Texas Tech stopped by South Plains College
  • Evansville, IPFW, Portland State, Cal State Bakersfield, and Cal State Northridge stopped by Lake Land College (IL)
  • Houston, New Mexico State, Texas Tech, Stephen F Austin and Portland State stopped by Howard College (TX)

  • Bethune Cookman, James Madison and Youngstown State stopped by Sinclair CC (OH)
  • Utah State stopped by Northeastern JC (CO)
  • Western Illinois and Portland State stopped by Missouri West Plains to see 6’3 G Ricky Torres
  • Southern Miss, UC Riverside, Santa Barbara, and Utah all stopped by East LA College
  • Moberly Area and Indian Hills had multiple schools stop by their practices this past weekend: West Virginia, New Mexico, Bradley, East Tennessee State, Tennessee Tech, UT Martin, UMKC, Nicholls State, Nebraska Omaha, Portland State, Northern Arizona, Winthrop, Western Illinois, and SEMO
  • Washington State, Akron, Missouri State and Western Illinois stopped by State Fair CC.  Washington State was specifically there for 6’11 C Isaac Bassey
  • Texas State, Grand Canyon and Southern Miss stopped by Arizona Western to see 6’7 G/F Andre Jones
  • NC State, Baylor, South Florida and Eastern Michigan stopped by Chipola College to see multiple prospects
  • East Carolina, Indiana State, Mercer, and Arkansas State all stopped by Cape Fear CC to see multiple prospects
  • Milwaukee, Washington State, Arkansas Little Rock, Western Illinois, SEMO, Stony Brook, Illinois Chicago, and Central Michigan stopped by Mineral Area to see multiple prospects
  • SIU – Edwardsville stopped by Wabash Valley College.  Evansville is stopping by to see G Marcel Cherry.  New Mexico, Southern Miss and Bradley are stopping by to see 6’7 F Austin Trice 
  • Miss State, SEMO and New Orleans have stopped by East Mississippi CC
  • East Tennessee State, Evansville, Arkansas Little Rock, Nicholls State and Ole Miss stopped by Holmes CC
  • Alcorn State, Arkansas Little Rock and Western Kentucky stopped by Shelton State
  • Nicholls State, New Orleans, Indiana State, Miss State, Arkansas Little Rock, Southern Miss, SE Louisiana, Evansville, Northern Arizona, and SIU – Edwardsville all stopped by Northwest Mississippi CC
  • Indiana State, Southern Miss, North Alabama, Lamar, Jacksonville State, New Orleans, Evansville, and SE Louisiana stopped by Northeast Mississippi CC

Upcoming –

Southern Cal Fall Juco Jamboree

Sept 15th - 17th – Hosted by Gerry Freitas this weekend at Cerritos College.  It will have 50 California Juco teams over the weekend.

 

The Florida Juco Tour was postponed because of Hurricane Irma. Here is the new schedule:

7:00 – 9:00 AM – Florida State College – Jacksonville

4:30 – 6:00 PM – Santa Fe College

8:00 – 10:00 PM – College of Central Florida

Wednesday, September 20th

7:00 – 8:30 AM – Polk State

12:30 – 2:30 PM – Eastern Florida State

4:00 – 6:00 PM – Daytona State

8:00 – 10:00 PM – Indian River State

Thursday, September 21st
