Brandon Johnson, a 6'9 forward from Brunswick CC, has set two official visits this weekend prior to making a decision on where he plans to play for the 2021-22 season. Johnson saw his stock explode at the All-American JUCO Showcase Invitational during the July live period in Atlanta, GA in front of nearly 300 college coaches. He received a variety of offers and also received interest from Maryland, Florida, and many other high major programs.

Johnson will visit East Carolina this Friday/Saturday and will visit Old Dominion on Sunday/Monday. Once Johnson's visits are complete, he will make his final decision. Either program will be getting a skilled and talented forward with a massive amount of potential. Due to the extra year of eligibility given by the NJCAA and NCAA, he will still have four years to play at the D1 level. Johnson was coached by Walter Shaw at Brunswick CC.

JucoRecruiting.com's Cody Hopkins spoke with Johnson about his upcoming visits.

JucoRecruiting.com: Tell us how your recruitment from Brunswick CC has been different than out of high school.

Brandon Johnson: Out of high school, my best option was Brunswick CC, and I knew I could attract more schools by going there and now I've been able to obtain multiple division one offers.

JucoRecruiting.com: What schools have you heard from the most this summer, and what has led you to your final 2 of East Carolina and Old Dominion?

Brandon Johnson: I've heard from over 20 division one schools and ECU and ODU both offer close distances, great coaches, and an adaptable system for me.

JucoRecruiting.com: What do you think you can bring to the table to these programs, and what goals are you setting for yourself to improve upon?

Brandon Johnson: I believe I can bring versatility to these programs by being able to do just about anything on the floor offensively and defensively. I am looking to improve my footwork and balance while playing. At the next level, I'm looking for a system that I am comfortable with, looking to win and build lifelong relationships.
