The #2 Indian Hills Warriors took down the previously undefeated #1 Northwest Florida Raiders to start a string of 3 wins this week, earning Team of The Week honors here at JucoRecruiting.com
IHCC hosted Northwest Florida on Wednesday night, in front of a raucous crowd on campus at The Hellyer Center. Don McHenry led Indian Hills with 25 points off the bench, and veteran sophomore Eddian Tirado finished with 21 pts on 4-5 shooting from the three-point line. The Warriors got 58 points from their bench in the 108-99 shootout, in large part to McHenry, Truth Harris (12p), and Kiran Oliver (12p). Enoch Kalambay scored 14 pts and grabbed 8 rebounds to lead the team. Kalambay was really impressive on the defensive end and played with a motor that the rest of his teammates seemed to feed off of.
The Warriors hosted the Reed Overhead Doors Classic over the weekend and went head-to-head with McCook and Missouri West Plains. The theme was the same for their matchup with McCook, as the bench supplied 58 of their 92 points en route to a 92-61 victory. Sophomore guard Truth Harris led the scoring with 17 pts off the bench including knocking down all three of his 3pt attempts. RJ Ogom scored 15pts & Ryan Myers tallied 13 for Indian Hills.
Indian Hills completed the 3-0 week with a 79-60 win over Missouri State-West Plains on Saturday night.
