Poll Shakeup

As conference season progresses, league standings and the NJCAA National Rankings are becoming clearer. This past week featured several high-level Juco matchups, leading to notable shifts in this week's rankings. The top 4 teams, including South Plains and Mineral Area, maintained their perfect records. Barton secured a narrow victory over Cowley, solidifying its lead in the KJCCC Standings. Daytona continued to be the highest-ranked Florida program, while Vincennes moved up a spot to re-enter the Top 5.

#6 Triton achieved a significant leap, climbing 9 spots after a major win over #17 Indian Hills, marking the biggest jump of the week. #8 Panola has remained undefeated since the new year began, moving up 6 places from #14. Their performance is particularly commendable given the recent loss of their assistant coach, Tadd Andrews, showing resilience in the face of adversity.

    Milestones

Former New Mexico JC star and TCU legend, Kenrich Williams, was honored this weekend in Fort Worth when his jersey was hoisted to the rafters as the Frogs faced off against the University of Texas. Williams, who began his collegiate career at New Mexico Junior College with averages of 10.1 points and 6.9 rebounds per game in his freshman year, transferred to TCU for his sophomore year. Known affectionately as “Kenny Hustle,” Williams made his NBA debut in 2018 with the New Orleans Pelicans before being traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder. Today, he stands as a vital player for one of the NBA’s most dynamic teams.
