Check back here throughout the November signing period for updates on who has signed their NLI along with any last minute commitments/signings.
11/12 8pm: Most of the top JC players that were expected to sign on the first day of signing period did so. Here’s a look at who else signed late in the day on day 1.
Legend Robertin, a 7’0 center out of Chipola College, signed with Clemson as expected. Robertin will have three years of eligibility upon arrival at Clemson and should become an impact player as he continues to develop his offensive game. Clemson assistant Richie Riley was instrumental in recruiting Robertin.
Emmanuel Omogbo (Colorado St) and Pat Birt (Tulsa) of South Plains both signed their NLI’s along with Andre Spight who is headed to Arizona State.
Lee Moore of Wallace St has officially signed his NLI with UTEP. Moore was picking up interest from plenty of high majors, but decided to shut it down after taking an official visit to UTEP.
Dirk Williams of Tallahassee CC has signed his NLI with UAB.
Lorenzo Bonam of Gillette College has signed his NLI with Southern Miss.
Darien Williams, who played last season at Iowa Western, signed his NLI with Iowa St. He is currently taking classes at City College of San Francisco while rehabbing an injury. Williams will have three years of eligibility at Iowa State.
11/12 2:15 pm Joseph Acuil, a 7’0 forward at Neosho CC, signed his NLI with Baylor. Acuil is a skilled and mobile forward who has the ability to stretch the floor. He is one of the top shot-blockers in the junior college basketball as well. He is mobile and athletic and is very good in an uptempo setting. Acuil chose Baylor over LSU.
Andre Spight, a 6’3 guard at South Plains College, signed his NLI with Arizona State. He was one of the most heavily recruited guards in the 2015 JC class in the July live period and Arizona State had their full staff to see him several times. This made the difference with Spight. Arizona State has done an excellent job of targeting and signing many of the top JC prospects over the past few seasons.
Jaylen Brantley (5’11/PG/2015) of Odessa JC has officially signed his #NLI with Maryland. Brantley is averaging 15.2ppg, 5apg and 3rpg through 4 games at Odessa. He will have three years to play upon arrival at Maryland. Brantley had a long and growing list of high majors after him, but the Maryland staff made him a priority early on and was able to lock him in.
Xavier Dupree, a 6’9 forward at Paris JC, signed his NLI with Houston today.
11/12 11 am TJ Dunans of Columbia St, who was one of the most sought after JC wings in the 2015 class, will sign with Auburn today according to his coach Brian Collins. Dunans’ teammate Justin Pride, who led the country in assists last year, will sign with Cal State Bakersfield today as ell.
Tanksley Efianayi, a 6’5 small forward at Daytona State, will sign with UCF today at 2pm. Efianayi chose UCF over St. John’s and Arizona State. Christian Kennedy, a 6’10 forward from Daytona St, will sign with Lamar today.
11/12 9:40 am There has been one mild surprise already this morning on day one of the November signing period. Fredrick Edmond, a 6’4 guard at the College of Southern Idaho, announced via Twitter that will sign with Western Kentucky. Edmond recently de-committed from WKU and opened his recruitment up. He was being heavily recruited by USC among others.
As expected Darius Paul, a 6’9 forward out of Lamar St. Port Arthur, will sign with Illinois today at 1:30 according to Lamar State. Paul is one of the top JUCO players in the 2015 class and many thought Illinois would wait until April to sign him, but that has quickly changed. Illinois most likely didn’t want to let a player of Paul’s caliber hear from other schools all season.
Indian Hills’ forwards Akolda Manyang (Oklahoma) and Malik Dime (Washington) will sign with today at 1:30 CST. These are two of the top post players in the 2015 JC class and should be immediate impact players at the next level. Manyang is arguably the top player in 2015 class (we will release our 2015 JUCO Top 100 in the next few weeks) and is off to a great start this season.
Rozelle Nix, a 7’0 center at Pensacola JC, has informed JucoRecruiting.com that he will sign with Pitt today at 3pm.
