CJ Washington (6-8/SF) of Tallahassee CC has given a verbal commitment to UAB and their new staff. UAB is getting a good one in Washington. He is very skilled with the ball around the rim and hits the glass well. Washington also has the ability to step out and bring bigger/slower defenders away from the rim with the range on his jumper, which extends out to the three point line. He has a very good showing this summer at the All-American JUCO Showcase Elite 80 in Augusta, GA.

UAB had a verbal commitment from Jarvis Williams of Gordon College, but Williams recently decommitted. UAB didn’t waste time replacing him. Washington will be able to step in and be a difference maker from day one.
