The NJCAA released their first Top 25 poll of the new year and Chipola, led by first year head coach Pat Blake, is sitting at number one. Chipola (18-0) is one of only six teams in the country (NJCAA D1) that still remains undefeated. The other undefeated teams at the NJCAA D1 level are #2 Hutchinson CC (16-0), #3 Palm Beach State College (18-0), #4 Vincennes University (14-0), #5 Iowa Western CC (17-0) and #6 Spartanburg Methodist (15-0)
Defending national champ and previous #1 South Plains College dropped two games during a road swing in Arizona. They are now 12-2 and ranked #11. NW Florida State (15-1), who is ranked #7, will host #1 Chipola tonight at 7:30pm central time.
Louisburg College sits at #1 in the D2 NJCAA rankings. They are 13-0, the only other undefeated team at the D2 level is Beaver County CC (12-0). Defending champ Mott CC is 11-1 and is ranked #3.
Brookdale College is 14-0 and is currently ranked #1 at the NJCAA D3 level.
In California, City College of San Francisco is still #1 in the CCCAA rankings. They are also the only team in the state that is still undefeated (16-0).
Lane CC is currently ranked #1 in the NWAACC (Oregon and Washgington JC’s). They are 13-2. There are no undefeated teams in the NWAACC.
There are 10 undefeated teams out of 559 total junior colleges in the country at all levels. NJCAA D1, D2, D3, CCCAA & NWAACC.
