We are getting deeper into the junior college season and many high-level matchups are taking place nationwide. In this week's edition of the Monday Minutes, we will look at the latest rankings throughout the country and the leading several scorers throughout the U.S. regardless of level. There has also been another significant milestone reached by Mott head coach Steve Smith. 

Mott HC Steve Schmidt Wins #800 

Mott CC head coach Steve Schmidt earned his 800th career victory in his 33rd season at the helm. Schmidt has won 4 National Championships, 3 National Runner-Up finishes, and 4 National Coach of the Year Awards. He is only the 15th coach in NJCAA history to earn 800 or more wins. Schimdt's career record is now 801-230. 

Rankings Update 

The NJCAA has released its latest Top 25 Polls today. We will provide updated rankings in California and the NWAC when those are released. 

Several teams in the NJCAA D1 Poll remain unbeaten this season. They are South Plains, Salt Lake, Vincennes, Daytona, Snow, Mineral Area, Triton, and Indian River.
