Jaylen Brantley, a 5’10 point guard in the 2015 JC class, has seen his recruitment begin to pick up over the past few weeks. Mark Turgeon made the trip down to Odessa to watch Brantley, and then made an offer. Brantley, who signed with Marshall out of high school, has heard from Indiana recently as well.

Brantley, who played with BABC on the travel circuit in high school, has already had Missouri, Wichita State, Maryland and TCU in to watch him workout, and many more schools are expected. His recruitment should continue to pick up over the next month with official practice starting and the first game right around the corner.

Rozelle Nix, a 7’0 center at Pensacola JC has set an official visit with Pitt for October 24. Nix, who recently took an official visit to South Carolina, originally said that he would not visit Pitt until after the season, but changed his mind and wanted to get the visit done before the first game of the year. Don’t be surprised if Nix makes a decision in late October and signs during the November signing period.
